Editorial Policy
Last updated: April 29, 2026
1. Editorial Independence
ROCKSTARmedia maintains full editorial independence. Our coverage is not influenced by advertisers, manufacturers, dealers, or any commercial entity. Editorial decisions are made solely by our editorial team based on newsworthiness and relevance to our readers.
2. Press Release Policy
When articles are based on press releases or manufacturer-provided materials, we clearly disclose this at the top of the article. We do not publish press releases verbatim â we add original context, analysis, market comparisons, and editorial perspective.
3. Sponsored Content
Any sponsored or paid content is clearly labeled with "Sponsored" or "Paid Partnership" tags at the top of the article. Sponsored content does not receive preferential editorial treatment and is held to the same accuracy standards as our regular coverage.
4. Corrections Policy
We are committed to accuracy. When errors are identified:
- Minor errors (typos, minor date/spec corrections) are corrected without notice.
- Material errors (factual inaccuracies affecting the article's meaning) are corrected with an explicit correction notice at the bottom of the article noting what was changed and when.
- Retractions are issued for articles found to be fundamentally incorrect, with the original content removed and a retraction notice in its place.
To report an error: [email protected]
5. Review Standards
Vehicle reviews are based on actual driving/riding experience. Review vehicles may be provided by manufacturers on a short-term loan basis. The availability of a review vehicle does not influence the review outcome. All reviews include:
- Real-world impressions, not just specifications
- Price comparisons with competitors in the Malaysian market
- "Our Take" editorial verdict section
- Clear disclosure of how the review vehicle was obtained
6. Source Attribution
We attribute all sources, including other media outlets, official statements, and reader-submitted tips. When we break news based on our own reporting, we do not cite competitors as sources.
7. Advertising Separation
Advertising and editorial content are clearly separated. Advertisers have no advance knowledge of editorial content and no influence over coverage. Clicking an ad always clearly indicates it is an advertisement.
8. Conflicts of Interest
Writers must disclose any personal or financial relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing their coverage. If a writer owns stock in a company they are covering, or has a family member employed by that company, this must be disclosed in the article.
